MUNICH – The Mexican striker Javier “Chicharito” Hernández scored in Bayer Leverkusen’s victory against third division Unterhaching, with a score of 3-1 in the German Cup match.
Chicharito, who played 84 minutes of the match, scored his 18th goal with the German team when he sent a shot from very close range through the center of the goal, assisted by a headed pass from Stefan Kießling at 31 minutes.
Hernández also assisted Karim Bellarabi at 84 minutes when he finished off from the lower-right side of the box to the left corner, with the assistance of “CH7.”
Leverkusen put another point on the board with a goal scored by Kießling with a right footed shot from the left side of the box to the bottom-left corner, with the help of Marlon Frey at 55 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Unterhaching opened the scoring at 27 minutes with a goal by Maximilian Bauer, which remained their only point for the match.
